Online Casino Sucker Bets — Part Two

[ English ]
  • Progressive side wagers: Games such as Caribbean Stud Poker commonly have one of these. You generally place a wager (a dollar is the normal amount) to try to win a side jackpot that can reach $25,000. Though huge jackpots like this are extremely tempting, they are also particularly hard to succeed. You might need to hit a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this bet. Also, think about this- you wager twenty hands and place the side wager each time. That is $20 you should have used towards the real game wager in place of a sucker bet. Imagine what you could have been able to win at a bet with better odds using that twenty dollars.
  • Single number wagers in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only 1. This shifts the overall casino edge from twopercent with a single zero wheel to a huge five% in American. The individual number bet has only a one in thirty eight chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets alternately which have a much smaller casino advantage.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and anyway you wager on it, the casino advantage can be a huge 25%. Yes, that isn’t a error. Due to the huge set of numbers you must pick, it’s not advisable to play Keno very much. A few times for fun, maybe. But do not spend all your cash on it or you will quickly discover yourself broke.
